Celebrate Beltane with the Temple of Witchcraft Los Angeles!
Mark your calendar, our Beltane Celebration is coming to the UU Church of the Verdugo Hills, this April 27th, from 2:30 – 5 pm. Registration is at the end of the post!
You are invited to join us as we turn the wheel and celebrate Beltane in a community ritual event. We continue to turn the Wheel of the Year and make magick on the Beltane Sabbat. This in-person ritual will unite us in a ritual circle and guided visionary work. We will work with the image of the maypole, and weave the threads in vision.
Beltane
Modern Pagans celebrate Beltane on or around May 1st, marking the halfway point between spring and summer. It’s a time to honor fertility, both of the land and ourselves, with events like bonfires, and ritualized or symbolic unions of a May Queen and King; we may also offer rituals for protection and growth. While some traditions like to reconstruct from history to find accuracy, our modern eclectic tradition pagan practice integrates the past as an inspiration, incorporating where we are and who we are with, creating a relevant ritual celebration for the Earth, and the celebrant, now.
