In these limited run weekly readings through October, we look to the Left, and the Right, and asking for perspective from both to find the Middle, Wisdom Way of Magick, Mystery, and the Path. Tarot Synergy is a small offering of little posts with tools and tips to navigate. Presented on the day of the Sun, with an ask to pause, reflect, and shine what is revealed to you into your week.
Listening to, Meshell Ndedecello rendition of “Don’t Disturb this Groove” (Listen).
Today I’m sending a very special thanks to Chris G., who is teaching the Learn the Tarot class with the Temple of Witchcraft. Although I’ve been a professional Tarot and Oracles reader, intuitive and Psychic for many years, his work and incisive explanations, history, and truly powerful insight into the meaning and relating to the cards is invaluable. You can always learn something new, and I have.
With that in mind…
“At the root of all the harm we cause is ignorance.”
― Pema Chödrön
In this weeks reading we are asked to look back about a half a year ago and review our choices and directions. The Death card was at the bottom of the deck, she said there was something ending, we knew it, and we were in a process of death and rebirth.
The Four of Wands is where we will begin because this card indicates a need to connect with same-minded people in the community, and to remember what we let go of, a half-year ago. Your Light guided you to this place of seeking companions who share in your path, passion, and life. Cultivate those connections, be sure they aren’t revisiting old patterns that asked or made you feel that you needed to hide or shutter your own glow.
The World tells us the pattern repeating may come from a deeper impression in our lives, unlike the song, we do want to disturb this groove. You’ve come this far and it is time to step out into the world and reach your goals, but to achieve it we must let go, forgive, the generational patterns that have locked us into well worn paths that do not serve us. The wands may indicate the goal is about your own light, but this may pattern for each person differently and show up in different ways.
Tools: Be clear about where you were, where you want to be, and who you are in context to that light. Gather those same-minded folks about you to stand strong in the world.
Tip: Avoid getting triggered back into old patterns. Pay close attention to your markers and margins, and where you fall into the unconscious trap of outmoded ways;, you are now in the place to create anew out of the soulful experience of all you have lived. Grow and step forward in that growth.
Pema Chödrön, in The Compassion Book, Two Activities: One at the beginning, one at the end.
“In the morning when you wake up, I reflect on the day I had an aspire to use it to keep a wide-open heart in mind. At the end the day, before going to sleep, do you think over what you have done. If you fulfilled your aspiration, even once, rejoice in that. If you win against your aspirations, rejoice that you were able to see what you did and are no longer living in ignorance. This way you will be inspired to go forward with increasing clarity, confidence, and compassion in the days that follow.”
I think this is a wonderful exercise for this week.
How to use make the best of Tarot Synergy?
Trust what words and sources you are drawn to, listen to yourself, and be open to the light that seeks to guide you.
When I get a reading, or I am attracted to the oracles form someone else, I usually make notes and review during the week, they are pieces of a puzzle and invitations for deeper personal understanding. You may find that some of the words or information in the Tarot Synergy act as keys, connecting to other doors and unlocking magickal information for you. These might resonate with a favorite astrologer, another reader, or your own card draws. Rather than look at readings as definitive unto themselves, look at the information you are attracted to, and write out the pieces that click, or distort, and see what that brings up for you in a journal.
My attention in readings is usually to find a current of energy that is trending strongly, and follow that. I give general prompts with open space for your details to fill in the blanks. You personalize the reading for yourself, but investigating it in your own framework. If people want deep reads you are invited to connect with your oracles, inner wisdom, or preferred reader to expand on the message and help guide you through it.
Trust the lights that guide you, the body of wisdom that you are, and the consciousness that is Nature, and Earth, that is tickling your magickal awareness.
These readings on the last week of October. I hope you have enjoyed.
